Overview

Nadia Reed, Emily Writes, Victor Rodger, book panels, book clubs and how to write sexy are but a few of the people and events you can catch at this year's LitCrawl.

LitCrawl is Wellington's event of the year for bibliophiles and budding Steinbecks and Didions. For four days only, from 8-11 November, the heart of Wellington will be thrumming with live readings, writing workshops, sneaky book previews and live music.

Although there is a whole Dewey Decimal system of stuff taking place over the four days, the main event is of course the LitCrawl itself. It is exactly how it sounds, like a pub crawl but with writers and books instead of drunks and drink menus. On Saturday, 10 November you can take the day to traverse the city to different venues (bookshops, bars and galleries) and participate in the various panels and talks with poets, journalists, playwrights and comedians. There's even a kid friendly version taking place at Wellington Central Library.

So, get your hands on a program and plan out a long weekend of literature goodness.
