Overview

Wellington's very own Louis Baker will be playing an exclusive and limited one off acoustic show along special guests Warren Maxwell and Thomas Oliver on Friday, May 8 at The Pines.

Singer-songwriter Louis Baker is one of Wellington's fresh new talents proving to be a promising voice in New Zealand's music scene. Combining his soulfully rich vocal talent and expressive guitar style, Baker has shown to be a mesmerizing performer on stage performing with absolute passion and raw emotion. He has performed on stage both in New Zealand and abroad, only recently returning from Europe where he performed on stages in Glasgow, Edinburg and Budapest. Baker attended the prestigious Red Bull Music Academy in New York where he was one of 60 people chosen out of 4000 applicants and then later spent a summer in London playing shows and recording with UK producer Andy Lovegrove. In 2014 Baker was announced a finalist for the APRA Silver Scroll Award for his track "Back on my Feet"

Thomas Oliver, another of Wellington's emerging singing-songwriting talents and Warren Maxwell a much-loved musician will be supporting Louis Baker for this one night only gig. The audience will get the opportunity to hear a selection of Louis's new songs and also witness songs by Baker and Oliver as they perform as a duo, and then later perform with Maxwell as part of their "Pass The Gat" trio.

Baker has teamed up with One Percent Collective and 1% of the funds raised will be passed onto their charities.
