Paniyiri - The Annual Greek Food Festival

Overview

Opa! Greece is coming back to Wellington this Saturday in a mid-afternoon celebration of food, music and Hellenic culture. Prep your stomach for souvlaki, calamari, filled pita bread, lokoumades, baklava and other goodies that'll have you thinking you're a character from The Odyssey.

Held at the Greek Community Centre in Mt. Victoria (1 Hania Street), you'll be able to pick yourself up some nifty souvenirs, and of course some deliciously authentic olive oil. With a bar on-site also, you might find yourself getting into the Greek spirit as you boogie to some groovy Greek music, or knocked off your feet as you sip on some Greek coffee that'll really put hairs on your chest.

With free admission, come and join the fun from 10am to 3pm and see what the best of Greek culture has to offer.
