Overview
In celebration of his first new album in five years cinematic composer Rhian Sheehan is set to return to the stage. The Wellington-based musician will be performing a special series of shows across the country with a spectacles of sound and light. Each performance will feature the music accompanied by visual elements created by Weta Workshop, Perceptual Engineering and a collective of talented visual artists to create a richly layered experience. The experience will see Sheehan lead eight musicians and a live string section through his brand new album A Quiet Divide, as well as previous work from acclaimed albums Standing In Silence and Stories From Elsewhere. Sheehan's live shows are a rare occasion, with this being the first Auckland performance since 2010. Expect a marriage of orchestral chamber music, cinematic guitar, synth-based soundscapes and post-rock moments.
