The Sleeping Beauty High Tea

Themed high teas are nothing new at QT Wellington. The property's Hippopotamus Restaurant & Cocktail Bar has previously served up feasts dedicated to burgers, plants and fairytale worlds.

In line with Royal New Zealand Ballet's production of The Sleeping Beauty, the restaurant is rising to the occasion with three tiers of treats to awaken your tastebuds. Inspired by the quintessential classic ballet spilling over with fairies, woodland spirits and enchantment, this high tea features spindle cookies, fairy bread macarons, plus a selection of savouries — like mini salmon burgers with avocado.

Guests can also toast to happily ever after with wellness cocktails and will walk away with a collagen-packed goody bag. The themed high tea will be available on Friday, 30 and Saturday, 31 October and Friday, 6 and Saturday, 7 November, with sittings from 4pm. Tickets are $49 per person.
