Eight Mouthwatering Events to Hit During Wellington's Eat, Drink, Play Festival

Make your way between a 1920s Prohibition speakeasy, taco masterclasses and a pop-up serving plant-based fried chicken.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a sizeable impact on restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars. In an effort to generate some buzz for the hospitality community after a challenging 12 months, Hospitality New Zealand together with Wellington NZ and Wellington City Council have launched a new festival. Over 100 Wellington venues, including restaurants, bars and hotels will be participating in the ten-day Eat, Drink, Play festival by creating Wellington-themed meal and drink pairings or hosting their own unique event.
