Overview
An explosive mix of contemporary and classic dance, Ballet Revolución is ballet with attitude. After a sell out season in Europe, Ballet Revolución premieres in Auckland for an exclusive one week only.
Ballet Revolución is an innovative and dynamic mix of dance genres and styles, bringing together classical ballet, contemporary dance, street dance and hip hop. The result is a powerful, sensual and athletic performance with a distinctly Cuban flavour. Think along the lines of Step Up Revolution but with more of a Latin influence.
The show features a cast of twenty dancers who perform to an eclectic soundtrack of Latin-American rhythms and number one hits from the likes of Beyonce, J-Lo, Prince, Enrique Iglesias, Chris Brown and Usher. Performing alongside the dancers are eight of Cuba's coolest upcoming musicians, direct from Havana.
