Overview

It's not often you're able to sink your teeth into a fine dining experience without caring about the parsley stuck in your teeth. But a new (and strictly limited!) sensory experience will see patrons blind dining to raise money for charity.

Five-star Auckland waterfront restaurant Euro, owned by acclaimed Kiwi chef Simon Gault, will hold three blind dining events to raise money for cbm, an international aid organisation dedicated to working with disabled people in the world’s poorest countries.

Diners will be blindfolded on entry, with no prior knowledge of the dishes or beverages on the menu, allowing them to become fully aware of the meal's flavours, texture and smells.

cbm’s Child Sponsorship programme’s focus is on supporting and educating children living with a disability and poverty. The money raised from the charity event will go towards stopping disabled children’s needless suffering in countries such as Africa, Asia and South America.

Tickets are priced at $150.00 per person, which includes a full three course meal with matching wine for each course and a $50 donation to the charity.
