Breaking into Comedy at a ripe wee age, Mathewson has gained a solid rep as a certified funny guy. At only 20 years of age, Mathewson exudes energy. His youthful take on complex issues has seen him recognized and now acknowledged as a comedic force among his local and international peers.

Against tough competition at the 2010 New Zealand International Comedy Festival, he was written into NZ comedy history when he was awarded the coveted Billy T Award with his show RHYSPECT, making him the youngest ever recipient at only 19 years of age.

Since then Mathewson has appeared on C4's The Jono Project and TV3's WannaBEN, 7 Days, and AotearoHA. Recently nominated for Best Male Comedian at the 2010 NZ Comedy Guild Awards, this guy isn't going to need to invest in actual door stops any time soon.
