Overview

Emitting music that will induce a swoon lasting from the first note until the night's final cadence, Tiny Ruins, Sal Valentine and the Babyshakes and Hopetoun Brown have teamed up to raise money for a good cause, that of the Auckland Women's Refuge.

Tiny Ruins is an Auckland-based poetic folk singer who has toured across Northern America, Europe and Australia supporting Beach House, Joanna Newsom, Fleet Foxes, Father John Misty,Neil Finn, The Handsome Family and Calexico.

The ten-piece band Sal Valentine and the Babyshakes pays homage to R&B while also infusing its sound with that of various other genres. Hopetoun Brown are the horn section of funk band Supergroove.

Auckland Women's Refuge has been in operation since 1975 providing women with support in the form of: crisis intervention, an emergency helpline, confidential safe-houses with 24 hours a day access, advocacy and childcare. All are welcome.
