Overview

Stalwarts of the jangly Dunedin Sound, The Chills, are hitting the road again in support of their latest studio album Snow Bound. Fans can expect the heavenly pop hits that made reviewers hail Martin Phillipps as the Brian Wilson of the post-punk world as well as the choicest cuts from The Chills latest offering. Phillipps impact on the indie scene internationally cannot be overstated – he consistently proves to be a master in aural chiaroscuro. The Chills have influenced the likes of Panda Bear and I'm from Barcelona, so their show will be an opportunity to see one of New Zealand's true heavyweights.

They will be joined by Tiny Ruins (Hollie Fullbrook). Fresh from her collaboration with Hamish Kilgour (The Clean) and 'Dream Wave' – a single recorded with none other than David Lynch, Tiny Ruins is bringing plenty of new songs to her opening set. They will be playing Galatos on 6 October. Tickets are available from Under the Radar.
