Overview

From the 3-9th June marks Refugee week in Queensland and there are plenty of activities that you can get involved in to show your support. One such event is the Lantern Parade Walk for Refugees. Held at dusk, join other everyday Queenslanders and refugee communities in a walk throughout the buzzing Southbank and surrounding Parkland area. The walk will begin at the Cultural Forecourt and finish at the Courier-Mail Piazza.

A glorious walk through Southbank with lanterns isn't the end of the evening. The fun will be continued at the piazza with cultural performances and entertainment that serves to showcase the immense talent found within the refugee communities. Although this is a free event it is important for all walkers to register here prior to the walk.

Meet like minded people at this free event that will welcome our new neighbours to the Brisbane community.
