Jessie's Girl - CLOSED
Don’t worry, we can’t stop singing the song either.
Overview
The inner-city suburb of Petrie Terrace boasts a tidy collection of bars and restaurants that are stylish and spacious (allowing a little more breathing room than their CBD counterparts). New kid on the block Jessie's Girl is no exception. This European-style restaurant-cum-bar is the baby of nearby Scout owners Susannah Whitehouse and Candy Smith, who gallantly accepted the task of turning a formerly dark, cramped café, into a bright and bustling eatery.
With a neon-lit sign perched over the entryway and a rooftop fringed with vines, Jessie's Girl is the perfect refuge after an arduous day. Aperitivo hour runs from 4-6pm daily, and those lucky enough to pop down on Friday afternoon are treated to complimentary bar snacks. Pasta lovers had best mark their diary for the weekly lasagna night (we're all *heart eyes* over the spinach and gorgonzola pick, although the traditional beef would also get Nonna's approval). For those in the market for a session of share plates and spritzes, Jessie's Girl has an impressive tapas and tipples menu.
If you visit on the weekend, you'll be treated to a boozy brunch from 11am — with spritzers, bloody marys and bottomless filter coffee.
