Touch down! KG Sports Bar is here to redefine the way Brisbanites catch the latest game, serving high-energy, hot food and cool beverages. Set to open on Friday, July 17, the CBD spot is destined to become a premier sports-watching destination, airing the biggest matches from around the globe.
It's all about the game at KG Sports Bar. 15 screens, including two 100-inch monsters, will stream everything from AFL and NRL to cricket, so that fans don't miss a minute of their favourite team's latest triumph.
The fitout is inspired by American sports culture, complete with player-tunnel elements. Nodding to American football, basketball, ice hockey, and baseball, the space transports punters right to the heart of the game's atmosphere without leaving Brisbane.
Similarly, the menu draws heavily from American-style sports bars. Feast on classic bar snacks such as burgers, onion rings and jalapeño poppers while cheering your team on. And in the competitive spirit of professional sport, KG Sports Bar will also sling the city's hottest wing challenge.
The KG Sports Bar Hot Wing MVP Challenge is fiery enough to warrant its own disclaimer, and only over-18s are qualified to participate. Brave competitors will sample some of the hottest chili sauces available, including Scorpion, Scorpion on Steroids, and, finally, a lethal blend of 70 percent Paralyzer and 30 percent Scorpion on Steroids.
The brutal challenge is certainly not for the faint of heart, but should you emerge victorious, you'll receive a limited-edition KG Sports Bar Hot Wing MVP Jersey and get to add your signature to the MVP Wall.
