Overview

Next time you're looking for a breakfast bite in Bulimba, let newcomer Tap & Crackle tempt your tastebuds. Sure, the busy inner-east suburb has plenty of early morning eateries; however only one boasts the wonder that is Nutella lamingtons. Enough said.

Tap & Crackle's standout brekkie dish comes with French toast, strawberries and double cream, and sits on a menu that also features wagyu savoury mince and mushroom bruschetta. It really is enough to make anyone jump out of bed in the morning, but if you like a sleep-in, the latest addition to Oxford Street also does lunch, tapas and drinks.

That's what happens when you open a cafe that's also a bar and a restaurant, complete with indoor bench seating for a comfy coffee and an outdoor deck for knocking back a few beers and cocktails on a weekend evening. If you're doing the latter, don't miss their own pale lager, as well as their signature fried chicken and pork crackling. Basically, whatever time of day you stop by, your stomach will be mighty satisfied.
