Overview

Cafe culture has come a long way in catering to diner requirements. Gone are the days of venues adding a tokenistic dish or two to a menu and calling it inclusive. This is no more evident than at Plum Tucker, which welcomes all walks of life (including those on all-fours).

The Red Hill cafe boasts a covered outdoor area with stunning painted walls and water bowls for pups. There's also an indoor kiddies corner with books, toys and colouring-in activities. Speaking of little ones, a dedicated kids menu includes avo on toast so you can get their obsession started early.

The breakfast menu helpfully calls out vegan, paleo and gluten-free options, including coconut soaked chia ($18) and a mushroom medley with poached eggs ($17). If you're simply a fussy eater, opt for the build-your-own breakfast section and choose your egg style, toast, and sides including leafy greens, haloumi and house kraut. Drinks-wise, you've got your choice of freshly squeezed juice, smoothies and coffee by expert local supplier Wolff Coffee Roasters.
