Overview

Come Friday, April 1, First Nations artists will be firmly in the spotlight at The Tivoli's new must-attend gig. Head along to Blak Day Out for an evening that's all about celebrating Indigenous sovereignty, music and community — with a stellar lineup.

Leading the charge: Shakaya, so get ready for some pop; The Ancient Bloods, aka Digi Youth Arts' interchanging band as part of its Indigenous mentoring program; and BARKAA, with the Barkindji woman's rap stylings set to echo through the venue.

Across two stages — the Tiv's main stage and over at What's Golden, too — you'll also be able to check out Dameeeela, The Merindas, AYA J, DancingWater, Selve and Alice Skye.

Doors open at 5pm, the music starts at 5.45pm and paying tribute to Blak excellence is firmly the name of the game. And you have Alethea Beetson and Jhindu-Pedro from Blak Social to thank for this one-night-only showcase of stellar First Nations talent and tunes.
