Overview

Burlesque Balls always sound like the best fun: dressing up, being a little naughty and going to a themed, glamorous party. Unfortunately, I never seem to hear about them happening in Brisbane until they’ve already happened. Not this year, as I got my act together and investigated the annual Burlesque Ball, before it was over.

It sounds like The Tivoli has done an amazing job in organizing this year’s event - 'The Exotic Garden' theme is certainly conjuring up some amazing décor and scenarios in my mind. On top of the surroundings, there are headliners flying in from American and Canada, as well as from all over Australia, to entertain those who dare attend.

Easily the most recognizable of the headliners is Catherine D’Lish, the self-proclaimed ‘striptease virtuoso’ who performs in the vein of Dita Von Teese. She is flown around the world to partake in events at casinos, nightclubs and gentleman’s clubs, not to mention was asked to headline in the 50th Anniversary Tour of Playboy.

If you're looking for an evening that’s just a little bit naughty and out of the ordinary, then this is the event for you.
