Overview

Finally a party you don't have to dress to impress. Instead, Brisbane’s Backbone Youth Art's 2high Festival cordially invites you and your inner artistic mischief-maker to the fundraising event with a dress code: be ready to Dress for Mess.

Personally I’m thinking of a nice garbage bag get up, but I don’t think they’re too picky. Just get your untidy self down to the Valley warehouse and be prepared for a night of chaos. There are promises there won’t be paint, and nobody knows how many baking supplies one can fit in a handbag. So, in an admirable suggestion - please don’t wear your favourite glittery garments.

As well as getting a little messy, there’ll special guests The Strums and The Lyrical delivering a live backing track for your dance moves as well as art installations from Alex Winters and Hilary Perrett. Plus keep an eye on the 2high Facebook page for other hints of the night’s agenda.

All proceeds contribute to creating a not-for-profit festival artistically profitable for emerging artists, Brisbane city and the cultural lives of our wonderful selves who inhabit here. Get your early bird tickets here or grab one on the door. It’s going to get messy!
