Overview
If you’ve ever had that joyful experience of finishing an arts/creative degree with such pride and hope, marched into the world looking for the big career move only to find yourself doing one of the following: A. waitressing B. working at Maccas C. selling frocks D. stacking shelves – well, you’re not alone.
With performing arts degree in hand, Gillian Cosgriff found herself in the no job, no house, and in a place where eating chips and watching Oprah reruns formed the main activities of the day. What did she do? She picked herself up, dusted herself off and became a waitress!
In a highly and widely praised new cabaret show, Cosgriff takes her audience on this hilarious journey of life lessons, exploring every detail of this period and its many funny, frustrating, odd and wonderful experiences. The show features many of Cosgriff’s original songs, as well as some old faves given a reworking. This is a show for all those who have experienced this big adventure, and those who are currently embarking on it.
