Immerse yourself in light and criss-crossing layers of halogen pipes.

Overview

Peter Alwast is an artist whose work is highly conceptual in the sense that he uses obscure methods to convey meaning, while layering textures reworking materials - that is, if he isn't utilising video or computer media instead, as he is wont to do.

As a member of the digital media art wave, his work is is on the cutting edge of art practice - his currency and commentary on space and the way he utilises space itself (through virtual means and otherwise) are reportedly exhilarating and incredible to witness.

His newest collection, Frozen in the Tracks, experiments with light and criss-crossing layers of halogen pipes clutter and clog the exhibition space, but aim to inhabit it as organically as possible. This exhibition further blurs the line between virtual art and physical sculpture, and is definitely a series that is unmissable.

Frozen in the Tracks will be open until 12 October - make sure you visit it as soon as possible.
