Overview

The days are getting warmer, the flowers are blooming and the scent of jasmine is in the air. Yep, spring has arrived — and it's bringing a whole lot of action to Brisbane. The city's calendar is jam-packed, with three-week arts party Brisbane Festival (September 3–25), Riverfire's annual firework display (September 25), live gigs, an international rugby double-header and a handful of landmark art exhibitions, just to name a few.

To celebrate spring's arrival — and all the epic events taking over the city — Visit Brisbane is giving away epic vacations to five lucky Queenslanders.

One prize is tailored to the culturally curious. It covers one night of accommodation at Novotel South Bank; two tickets to QAGOMA's European Masterpieces From the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (running till October 17); and a wine-blending class for two at City Winery.

Next up is a prize for the music lovers among us, with a one-night stay at the stylish, rockstar-inspired Ovolo The Valley; two tickets to an Open Season gig of the winner's choice at Woolloongabba's newly revamped Princess Theatre; and a $150 voucher to Middle Eastern restaurant Za Za Ta.

Or, if you're keen to let your hair down, there's a prize that'll see you live it up at ultra-luxe riverside hotel W Brisbane; sip cocktails at the on-site poolside bar; tuck in to a breakfast feast at Three Blue Ducks; give your wardrobe a refresh at Myer Centre; and score a four-person VIP lunch cruise on a next-level party boat, The YOT Club.

There are also a couple of family-friendly prizes up for grabs. One includes a night at The Constance; a family pass on Brisbane Festival's Art Boat; a Victoria Park Putt Putt family pass; and $150 to spend on lunch. The other covers one night at Crystalbrook Vincent, four tickets to the  Rugby Championship double-header at Suncorp Stadium (September 18) and a cruise down Brisbane River on a self-drive picnic boat.
