DA’Burger - CLOSED

And with the introduction of boutique beer and burger parings still to come, they’re only just getting warmed up.

Overview

Attention all fitness and healthy lifestyle loving Brisbanites! Your prayers have been answered. Gone are the days of eating a burger laden with guilt and served with a side of self-reproach.

DA'Burger founder and burger enthusiast James, together with wife Wendy and best friend Jason are creating something truly unique, uniting their passion for community, local enterprise and good, healthy food with their business philosophy.

Neighbour Mike of Rayners Gourmet Meats supplies their patties, artisan bakers Creative Crusts delivers their bespoke engineered DA’Licious bun and their salads are sourced fresh from all Queensland producers. DA’Burger is also in partnership with Brisbane Youth Services, providing work and education opportunities for those in need. You can also choose to pay it forward and buy a “suspended burger” for someone who will be truly grateful later.

When it comes to deciding what to order you’ll struggle, with six types of pure Australian Black Angus beef pattie burgers, three styles of chicken and three of lamb, as well as two takes on vegetarian and a fresh ocean catch-of-the-day on offer. If you’re playing it safe you can’t go wrong with The Bus Stop. It’s the best seller and has all the flavours a burger should with a flame grilled Black Angus pattie, streaky bacon, german-style gherkins, lettuce, tomato, red onion and the famous DA’Burger tomato relish (which you can also purchase by the jar). Ask for a recommendation and the guaranteed response will be The Nelson Nasty – a bun filled with grilled spice-rubbed chicken breast, bacon, jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayo and DA's own chilli jam. It’s spicy, smoky-sweet and seriously delicious.

With gluten free buns available as well as a no bun option for the carb-conscious, the only indulgence here is in burgercation…although it would be a shame not to enjoy their ridiculously golden, herb-salted-to-perfection Beer Battered thick-cut chips with your meal.

James is quite right - this place is DA’BOMB. And with the introduction of boutique beer and burger parings still to come, they’re only just getting warmed up.
