Wintry Events That'll Make You Want to Plan a Weekend Trip to Sydney
At this time of year, when blue skies are rare and single-digit temperatures are not, it's all too easy to get stuck in a weather-induced rut. We've still got a fair few weeks of this cold weather to push through yet. So, rather than letting the entire season pass you by from beneath your duvet, why not embrace the cold and plan a wintry getaway?
If there's one place that can pull you out of that chilly weather slump, it's Sydney. We've teamed up with Virgin Australia to pull together the best things that are happening in the city — and beyond — over the next few months. You can experience winter festivals in tiny country NSW towns, explore landmark art exhibitions in the heart of the city and get your fill of countless belly-warming treats at food and drink markets. Once you've picked a time to hop across the pond, head over to Virgin's website, where you'll find a bunch of flight and accommodation options — including one-way economy fares from $202 (offer ends August 6, 2019).
