Brunswick's Hotel Railway remains one of the North's most tried-and-tested popular pubs. Attracting hordes of loyal regulars for after-work drinks or weekend catch-ups over the footy, the 140-year-old pub is a favourite for good reason. 

Hotel Railway is rooted in Brunswick's diverse history and serves as an important community hub. The classic pub welcomes sports lovers, families, and even pups, known and loved for its unpretentious, welcoming atmosphere. 

The refreshed space boasts some of the biggest TV screens in the North, a relaxed beer garden, and spaces for casual celebrations. At its heart is a community spirit, a place that locals return to time and time again; it's built into the neighbourhood ritual. 

The menu offers classic pub grub, alongside more contemporary dishes. Try spiced roast pepper and sunflower dip with Turkish bread, or paprika-crusted pork skewers with a tarragon garlic miso sauce. There's a lentil salad with goat cheese, a tuna Nicoise salad with a coddled egg, and even a vegan parma. 

Don't miss the stellar Saturday steak-and-chips special. For just $39, grab double the steak, double the chips, and double the sauce, served with a warm baguette, butter, and salad. If you're looking to kick off your weekend with a bit of fun, add bottomless wine for $25. 

This winter, Hotel Railway is going above and beyond to include your four-legged, furry friends in the festivities, offering a Doggy Parma. The canine iteration of the pub classic features crumbed chicken, mozzarella, sweet potato chips, and salad. Make it a proper arvo out, and let your pup wash it down with locally made Dog Brew from Hop Nation, made with chicken bone broth and designed to be a tasty, healthy treat.
