Overview

Two years ago Contemporary Dance wunderkind Shaun Parker astounded Sydney Festival audiences with his show This Show Is About People. It cleverly blended contemporary and classical dance with operatic singing and acrobatics to make a story about ordinary people stuck in a mundane transit lounge feel exhilarating. The show won the Australian Dance Award for Best Independent Production and was nominated for four Green Room Awards.

This year he’s back with his follow up Happy as Larry. It explores the "9 archetypal personality types" and debuts at the Parramatta Riverside as part of Sydney Festival with a score composed by Nick Wales (CODA) and Bree van Reyk (Holly Throsby/Darren Hanlon).
