Overview

What does happiness look like inside the human body? That's the question at the heart of BODY WORLDS: The Anatomy of Happiness, which is making its Sydney debut this September at 155 George St, The Rocks, bringing real human specimens, whole-body plastinates and interactive displays to the city for the first time.

If you've never encountered BODY WORLDS before, more than 58 million people have visited its exhibitions across 175-plus cities. Using Gunther von Hagens' plastination process, it presents real human specimens for public viewing, offering a detailed look at the body's structure, complexity and resilience.

The exhibition explores the relationship between happiness and the human body, with dedicated areas looking at the brain and heart, alongside a section focused on foetal development. You'll also find interactive features including the Anatomical Mirror, giving visitors a chance to engage with their own reflection as they move through the exhibition.

Sessions take around an hour, giving you plenty of time to explore the exhibition before continuing on around The Rocks. All ages are welcome, and the venue is wheelchair accessible, with tickets available to book for selected sessions.
