It's the season of the Christmas Party, and though many nights are currently filled with them, and livers are busily trying to repair themselves all over the city, it's safe to say not many offer (worthy) live music. The Mistletone Xmas Party boasts no photocopier remorse the next morning, and no Secret Santa/Kris Kringle "fun", so what's not to love?

Not just a yuletide celebration for the Melbourne record label, it's also the Sydney launch of Royalchord's album The Good Fight, recently featured as FBi's Album of the Week. Similar in style and heart to Au Revoir Simone and Bachelorette, Fight the Good Fight is pretty synthpop with a dash of bedroom dreaminess. The perfect soundtrack to the time of the year when the treelights are twinkling and the corks are popping.

Supporting on the night are Sydney's finest: Kyu and Holy Balm, so the herald angels will be singing as well as dancing too. Tickets are available in advance from Mistletone.
