Overview

As part of the flurry of streaming services always competing for our eyeballs, FanForce TV joined the online viewing fold during the COVID-19 pandemic as a pay-per-view platform. The service runs all year round, of course, but it goes the extra mile for National Reconciliation Week, which is when it hosts one leg of the First Nations Film Festival (previously known as the Virtual Indigenous Film Festival).

In 2024, the National Reconciliation Week season will take place between Monday, May 24–Monday, June 10, all solely online. The returning fest has five features on its lineup, starting with the most-recent detective tale from Mystery Road and Goldstone's Ivan Sen — with Simon Baker (Boy Swallows Universe) leading the stellar Coober Pedy-shot Limbo, one of 2023's best movies.

Other choices include Servant or Slave, about Indigenous Australian women forced to work as domestic servants; Luku Ngarra — The Law of the Land, with Yolŋu Nation leader Rev Dr Djiniyini Gondarra at its centre; Croker Island Exodus, which steps through a true World War II tale; and the artist-focused Dig Deeper.

At this at-home screen celebration, viewers can tune in on a film-by-film basis for US$9.99 per session, or buy an all-access pass to see everything for US$24.99.
