Plans plans plans! Why does the mad rush for planning New Years Eve always seem to outweigh the night itself? A night that's usually a cocktail of anticipation, nostalgia, reflection and magnificent desolation. In the rush to make it a special night and radiant restart to the Gregorian calendar we often fail to find the spectacle we had hoped for - somehow our dream turns to nightmare.

If this sounds familiar The Red Rattler (Sydney's first legal eco-DIY warehouse) might have the Golden Fleece, The Secret Key, the antidote. Promoted as bringing "a mix-tape to life with a bang", JD Samson (1/3 of feminist punk band Le Tigre), together with various Sydney performers, will offer a dazzling and engaging accompaniment to old year adieus.

Other acts on this "live mix-tape" include: Glitta Supernova, Lillian Starr, WIFE, ZooFi, Tranny Cops, KK No Pantz, Mighty Hermaphrodite and Stranger Danger, as well as music from Plast Her Ov Paris (Melb) and DJ Gemma (Club Kooky/Ya Leil).
