Co-created by Ben Jenkins and Zoe Norton Lodge in their Sydney University days, Story Club has reached greater heights in its move from Hermann's Bar and into Chaser-run comedy and performance venue Giant Dwarf.
Bringing speakers that you've heard of and others that you haven't is Story Club's shtick. Each guest sits in an armchair before you, opens the heavy Story Club tome and relates a fascinating story from their lives. Both hilarious and remarkable, the event has a new theme each month. The kids behind Story Club call it "stand-up, but sitting down. Then add narrative."
Australia's finest raconteurs — including our politicians, stand-up comics, novelists, journos, commentators, poets and musicians — are among the usual suspects.
