Overview

Looking to join the war on waste but aren't sure where to start? Well, you can kick off your anti-plastic lifestyle in good company, at ABC's War On Waste pop-up boutique this weekend.

Making an appearance at Bondi Pavillion this Saturday, August 4, the pop-up hopes to encourage small, everyday changes we can all make in the fight against unnecessary waste. With an estimated 10 million single-use plastic straws used by Aussies each day, there's no doubt that every little bit helps.

Head along and make a pledge — whether that's making the switch to a reusable coffee cup, refusing those plastic straws from here on out, or ditching plastic bottles — and you'll score yourself a nifty reusable bag or bottle for your efforts. You'll also have the chance to meet the artists behind the funky designs, Lauren & The Lost Boys.

Which will help if you plan on shopping at the newly plastic-bag free Harris Farms and Woolworths — and hopefully soon Coles.

The 'War On Waste' Pop-Up will run from 2–5pm.
