Dinner at Parramatta Square

Sydney's west just got itself a brand new outdoor dining precinct, as part of a multibillion project, which means, for those who live or work in Western Sydney — or those wanting to explore more of the city — you now have more fun dinnertime options at your fingertips. Yep, say goodbye to your microwaveable meals and run-of-the-mill weekend plans and make a beeline to Parramatta Square stat.

The $3.2 billion development opened on Wednesday, October 21 — and, with it, some highly anticipated eateries. Famed Sydney restaurateur Maurice Terzini has just opened his first venture in western Sydney with the second outpost of much-loved Bondi osteria Ciccia Bella. Parramatta Square is inspired by trattorias of southern Italian, but it's also a bakery and salumeria. So, expect cheese, charcuterie and antipasti for starters, followed by the likes of whole sardines, roast peppers and a one-kilogram bistecca alla Fiorentina. You can dine at dinnertime every Tuesday to Saturday, plus lunch on Saturdays, too.

Or, you can make tracks to Lilymu by the same crew behind Nour and the recently opened Henrietta. Unlike its Surry Hills counterparts, though, Lilymu isn't serving up Lebanese fare, but rather contemporary Asian dishes. You can head there for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, for a long Friday work lunch, or with friends or family on a Saturday.

In need of midweek lunchtime feeds? Parramatta Square is also home to Betty's Burgers, Fishbowl, Sushi Yuzen and, for dessert, Rivareno Gelato.
