Overview

A much-loved addition to the melting pot of cuisines that populate Fountain Street is Sushi Jones. A humble Japanese eatery tucked behind Dan Murphy's, it has all the makings of a restaurant you'd add to your list of regular haunts.

The menu has familiar Japanese fare but is vast enough that you won't have to repeat order. It offers takeaway for the nights you don't want to be anywhere but on your lounge. It has wallet-friendly mains and eight pieces of sushi won't set you back much at all. And most importantly, the staff are welcoming to both you and your pooch -- yes, pups are welcome in the outside eating area.

Notable Sushi Jones menu items are the karage-- marinated deep fried chicken-- pork katsu ramen. But if you're on a health kick, it is worth noting that all sushi rice is blended with organic quinoa and barley.
