Museum of Sydney
A salute to Sydney, past and present.
Overview
Located just minutes from The Royal Botanic Garden, the Museum of Sydney will take you through the city's history. Housed in the city's first Government House, the Museum explores everything from the arrival of the First Fleet, first contact, colonisation and racial prejudice to the creation of the iconic Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge through videos, images, and crafted models. The Museum of Sydney is part of the Sydney Living Museums, a collection of 12 unique historic houses and museums that tell the stories — past and present — of the city.
The Museum of Sydney is open from 10am–5pm, Thursday to Sunday.
