It's the most wonderful time of the year. Get into the Christmas spirit with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra as they perform Christmas Pops; a festive and magical event featuring a mix of music and sing-alongs, perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
With Australian mezzo-soprano Jacqui Dark at the helm, the NZSO will delight the audience with works from composers such as Vaughan Williams, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky – including a selection from his beloved, The Nutcracker. Traditional favourites, such as 'Oh Come all Ye Faithful', 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' and 'Silent Night' will form part of the playlist.
This joyous occasion takes place on Saturday, 15 December, at the Michael Fowler Centre. Tickets are just $20, and can be found here. And seeing as it is a time of year for giving, consider donating to the Wellington City Mission's Christmas Star appeal. By simply making a donation, you'll be "someone's star" and help reach thousands of people in need this Christmas. You'll find collectors in the foyer before the concert begins.
The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
