Overview

If you're heading into the Cuba Street area for some brunch or a bevvy this weekend, you might want to set aside a little more time than usual. Cuba and the surrounding area is being totally transformed for the third edition of CubaDupa, which takes over the entire quarter for two days, shutting down vehicle access and turning the area into the pedestrian paradise that it should be every day.

Expect magic and mayhem— CubaDupa is a bit more than your classic suburban street fair with toffee apples and buskers. Rather than trailing back and forth among endless stalls, you'll be wooed by a myriad of artists, performers, acrobats and creatives. There's participatory events if you're the kind who likes to get stuck in, or a pretty amazing array of artists and street food if you'd rather sit back.

CubaDupa kicks off midday on Saturday 25 March and runs until 5pm on Sunday 26. It's free to go along, so you've got no excuse.
