Overview
During the 1990s the Egyptian-born Hany Armanious developed a fascination with the images of elves and and dwarves found in cheap wallpaper. While we were all preoccupied with our fluorescent-lit office jobs and weekend hangouts over coffee, Armanious delved into the magical world of elves and begun creating a synthetic latex playground for his elves and dwarves. Described as Santa's workshop, or a Middle Earth drug lab, Selflok is definitely an interesting installation currently on show at the City Gallery.
Selflok will be showing at the Gallery from September 5 until November 30, 2014.
