Overview
Fresh off the release of her sensational self-titled EP, Bailey Wiley is hitting the road with a five-date tour across Aotearoa.
Bailey's honeyed vocals have the silk and sensuality found in 60s/70s soul tempered with the sass and swag of early aughties R&B. Her voice has captured audiences from Berlin to Hawera and everywhere in between, consistently earmarking her as one to watch.
If that hasn't sold you, Bailey has garnered support from some of our best up and coming musical talent — 2019 Taite Prize recipient Tom Scott (Avantdale Bowling Club), Pacific Music Awards Most Promising Artist recipient Melodownz and beat maker extraordinaire High Hoops all guesting on the aforementioned EP.
Bailey herself describes the six-song offering as a way of documenting her "rediscovering her passion for music and falling in love….I love expressing myself through music as it's the place where I'm best understood." The small but perfectly formed record is a testament to Bailey's perseverance artistically and personally. If you miss out, then you've truly have missed a trick.
Bailey Wiley will be playing Auckland's Galatos on Friday, 12 July.
