Loco's Kitchen & Bar - CLOSED
Whether you like your food juicy and hefty or leafy and lean, you'll be in your element.
Overview
It's not every day that a reality television chef returns to off-screen cooking — and it's not every day that two culinary trends combine, either. At Loco's Kitchen & Bar, you'll find both. Former Restaurant Revolution head honcho Daniel Forbes steps back into the kitchen, and he's serving up American-style meals as well as paleo offerings.
Yep, whether you're after something juicy and hefty or leafy and lean, you'll be in your element. And whichever option you go with, you'll be feasting on something tasty. Example A: the Shredder burger with Sailor Jerry's pulled pork, crunchy coleslaw and spring onions. Example B: the grilled chicken salad with baby tomato, rocket, fennel, pomegranate, almond flakes and ranch dressing.
Everything from fried chicken to asado flank steak with chimichurri butter to hazelnut-heavy ice cream sandwiches also feature, because Loco's is big on variety. To wash it all down, local beers such as 4 Pines and Noisy Minor flow through the bar's eight taps, plus there's a carefully curated wine and cocktail list. It mightn't that good for you, but we think the Wizz Fizz (aka vanilla vodka, absinthe and Chambord liqueur mixed with soda water and a side of house-made sherbet powder) sounds like a fine drink to accompany both greasy and healthy food choices.
