Same Same but Different - CLOSED
Fresh but familiar.
Overview
There's no such thing as a boring breakfast, brunch or lunch at Corinda's newest cafe, Same Same but Different. The second eatery run by Bare Bones Society's Kym and Jade Machin nods to familiarity in its name — which proves relevant not only to its dishes, but to its similarities t0 its sister venue — while making its freshness known, too.
Take their honey smacks made with honey-roasted puffed organic grains and served with acai and banana parfait, for example. Don't go expecting store-bought cereal here. The rest of the all-day selection continues to mix things up — think spiced eggs coupled with pulled pork, plus haloumi and sour cream hash cakes, as well as avocado on toast with whipped garlic and Danish feta. And as far as dedicated lunch offerings go, salads and burgers include wagyu steak with greens and fried chicken with chips and gravy.
If that sounds like quite the lineup for a suburban joint in Brisbane's west, that's because it is. Same Same also serves up drinks to match, including Toby's Estate coffee, cold-pressed juices and the certain-to-be-popular fun shakes. Who can resist a milky beverage with Nutella-filled doughnuts and Nutella ice cream, after all?
