New Farm Deli Pop-Up Picnic

Overview

After a fire destroyed its premises in early July, New Farm Deli has understandably had to temporarily shut up shop; however, while the local institution is in rebuild mode, it's moving into the Merthyr Village Shopping Centre carpark. The relocation is a one-day event, ahead of a pop-up cart in the near future — and, it also doubles as a picnic.

Running from 11am–5pm on Wednesday, August 14, the New Farm Deli Pop-Up Picnic will satisfy your hankering for Italian food and drinks this Ekka public holiday. Grab a bite at the pop-up kitchen, sip on spritzes from the bar, get caffeinated at the coffee cart and tap your toes to live music. If the weather is right, you'll also be able to enjoy all of the above while soaking up the midweek sun.

Heading along will count as a good deed, too, with New Farm Deli donating all of the profits from the picnic to the Children's Hospital Foundation. It's the store's way of giving something back after receiving such immense support from the community over the last month — and you can help.
