Overview

The dreamy indie pop duo from Baltimore will bring the sounds of their latest album Bloom to our fair country come January. Yep, we're going to be inundated with a lot of awesome tunes this summer, so it might be time to have a word to your credit card now.

Alex Scally (guitar, bass, keyboards, backing vocals) and Victoria Legrand (lead vocals, keyboards) have been recording and performing their beautiful, heady, emotive tunes since 2004 now, so if you haven't seen them live yet, here's your chance. They're heading here for Falls Festival, but will afterwards stop over in Sydney for a show at the Enmore Theatre.

Beach House are known for their rather inventive videos (think exploding eggs and parallel universes in Lazuli and whatever you'd like to believe is going on in Lover of Mine's backyard fight party), and they also put on on one hell of a live show to complement those powerful waves of organ, guitar, percussion and voice.

Until then we suggest enjoying their latest album with a few cold ones and, if you can facilitate it, a comfy backyard hammock.
