Big Brekky is the brainchild of Issy Phillips and Juliet Timmerman, who bring their comedic chops to the stage for a spoof on morning television talk shows. The new monthly comedy and music night at Surry Hill's Giant Dwarf Theatre runs on the last Friday of each month.

Phillips hosts Saturday mornings on FBi Radio and performed her routine 'Could ASMR be the Answer to Climate Change? as part of TedxSydney, while Timmerman has performed stand-up as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival, Sydney Fringe and Adelaide Fringe.

Each month the show is full of fresh absurdist humour, and just like a real breakfast TV show — features special guests. With every iteration of Big Brekky, a different local Sydney musician joins the show with Phillips and Timmerman leading the interview, before treating the audience to a live 'in-studio' performance. This week's guest is rising R'n'B singer-songwriter Gemma Navarrete, with popular Sydney bands Baby Beef and Good Pash both lined up for future shows.

Tickets start at $22, but if you want to show Big Brekky extra support, you can purchase the 'Total Hottie' ticket, which will have you officially labeled a total hottie and may even get you a shoutout during the show.
