Sammy Junior x Mai Dolci High Tea - CANCELLED
Maybe Sammy cocktails and high tea come together at last at this luxurious midweek pop-up.
Overview
UPDATE Tuesday, Septemeber 5: Due to unforeseen circumstances, Sammy Junior and Mai Dolci will no longer be hosting their high tea this Wednesday.
Two of Sydney's favourite things are finally coming together: Maybe Sammy cocktails and high tea. The award-winning hospitality group is hosting a cocktail-filled high tea at its King Street cafe and bar Sammy Junior on Wednesday, September 6, filling the lavish inner-city space with tea-infused drinks, and a range of sweet and savoury canapés.
If you're on the hunt for a midweek dose of luxury that won't break the bank, this $60 high-tea experience is taking over Sammy Junior for three hours between 5–8pm. Maybe Sammy bartender Wen Wang has created a set of three cocktails, each based around a different tea. The Amae, for example, combines matcha tea with cold-brew melon soda and honey. Or, there's the Nettesper, which features gin, Cocchi Americano and pine tea.
Accompanying the drinks will be a trio of savoury snacks from Sammy Junior's culinary team — and a menu of desserts created by Mia Dolci. Expect shortcrust pastry filled with artichoke and stracciatella emulsion, chicken liver pate, mini cannolis, passionfruit tarts with meringue, pistachio choux, rhubarb pavlova and blueberry cheesecake.
Bookings are essential. If you want to secure your spot, head to the Sammy Junior website.
