Kusuka - CLOSED

Finding this hole-in-the-wall is half the challenge. The other half is deciding between the coffee, cafe fare and Indonesian noodle options.

Overview

Kusuka may be small in size, but it's menu is the opposite. Located in Chinatown, this eatery takes the standard cafe menu and injects it with a flurry of Indonesian flavours. Take, for example, the tomato and spinach croissant which is amped up with sliced smoked wagyu and truffle salt hollandaise. One thing is for certain: you won't want to visit on a diet. Sure, a few token 'healthy' options have been thrown in, but smashed avo and acai bowls are about as far it goes. Any fantasies of self-control will disappear when you catch a glimpse of one of the mi goreng dishes pimpe-out with spicy or corned beef, fried chicken or roasted pork belly. There is no reprieve in the beverages either. The signature drink menu features outrageous concoctions that will be measured by the Insta-worthiness as much as the flavour: colour-changing mocktails and a watermelon and berry latte are just the tip of the iceberg. Bring on the food coma.
