Overview

In a new location but with the same vibes you know and love, Boneface Taven now has a new spot in the city — and it's a must-go for chilled post-work eats and drinks.

The Upper Hutt brewers and Brewtown favourites are now nestled in Mount Victoria just a few minutes from the action of Courtenay Place, with fresh Boneface beers on tap, delicious bites and, of course, killer tunes all night long.
This cosy spot is ideal for a casual meal or after-work drink. With a stacked menu of toasties and burgers, as well as two different types of fried chicken and the extremely delicious-sounding Katsu curry fries topped with Japanese curry sauce ($15), its the ideal place to warm up and shelter from Welly's notorious wind.

And, unlike many other bars in the area, they're actually open on a Monday. Hallelujah.

But it's the activities that might just draw you through the door: Keeping with the brand's two loves beer and sci-fi, the bar has old-school pinball machines and pool tables to keep you entertained (as well as making this place a fantastic first date spot). You'll also spot some vintage sci-fi memorabilia on the walls.

Their taps will be pouring all your fave Boneface brews, with some special one-off creations to mix it up.
