There's a short window of time in Melbourne when it's a shame to be sitting inside. Particularly if you've got a drink in your hand. Luckily, Melbourne has a prime plethora of pubs and bars with seats either in the sun, shaded by greenery or just out in the fresh (sometimes chilly) air. Want a hidden courtyard in the back-streets of Collingwood? We know one. A sprawling openair space on St Kilda Road? We've got one of those two. Save cosy pub corners for winter; summer is all about the beer gardens and boozy courtyards.
The below pubs and bars may have altered opening hours and new booking policies, we recommend you check their website before heading in.
From 11.59pm on Tuesday, October 27, hospitality venues in metro Melbourne can reopen with up to 50 people outdoors and 20 people indoors. Melburnians can still only visit venues within their 25-kilometre bubble. You can check out all the restrictions over here.
